Ellen Frank is a BC based writer and activist.
She was born in Hoboken, NJ in 1947. She moved to Canada in 1969 where
she has spent most of her adult life in Vancouver, BC occupying herself
as a politically active feminist, a travel agent, and a mother. During
that time she lived in communes and housing co-ops, and actively
organized around the issues of daycare, violence against women and
disability rights. She has also lived in Israel, and has happily been a
member of the Or Shalom Jewish congregation for the past 18 years, and a
member of the Peretz Shule before then.
Ellen has lived with Multiple Sclerosis since 1988 and understands the
challenges of limited mobility, an issue she has addressed in much of
her writing.READ
